As you pull into Blenker Building Systems parking lot in rural Amherst, WI, you will see a 90,000 square foot, one-stop shopping spectacle. In the beginning, Blenker was a general contracting and remodeling business that started in 1974. Through ambition, technology and hard work Blenker became Blenker Building Systems as you see it today. The most important things have remained the same throughout the last 40 years: ingenuity, quality and good old-fashioned customer service.
The ingenuity began in the mid-90s when Peter Blenker decided to begin manufacturing wall panels for the homes he was contracted to build. Pre-manufacturing wall panels utilizing an indoor crew gave Peter the control he needed to be most effective as a contractor. Wall panels allowed for much greater control of costs, work environment, scheduling and possibly most importantly, quality. Pre-manufacturing also gave him the opportunity to provide better customer service, which blossomed from the inside out. Yes, it meant providing reasonably priced, higher quality products to the buyer, but it also meant serving his framing crew more readily with on-time output that was straightforward and speedy to install. (Not to mention using great lumber and always plumb!)
Another reason Blenker has been so successful is because of its heritage as builders. “A lot of truss companies are manufacturing wall panels. We feel as through our ‘framers point of view’ gives us an advantage. We can serve our customers better because we understand what they want; we’ve done it ourselves. Wall panels are a very unique business, with their own quality, material handling and jobsite delivery issues.”

Meet Our Directors
Nora Boomer / Director of Human Resources
Nora Boomer holds two degrees from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. A bachelor’s degree in interpersonal and organizational communication, and a master’s degree in organizational communication. Nora also holds the human resources designations of PHR, SHRM-CP, and CIR. She has been in the field of human resources, and a member of the Stevens Point Area Human Resources Association (SPAHRA) for 14 years. She held the roles of chapter president and communications chair for five of those years. Nora has also been active in her community through numerous philanthropic endeavors.
Fay Harder / Director of Finance
Fay Harder leads the finance division of Blenker Companies. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Fay has over 25 years of financial experience in multiple industries including construction, manufacturing, banking and real estate industries. She has held certifications as a certified public accountant and as a certified management accountant. Harder’s goal is to use her financial acumen to support business development, business relationships and bring growth and success to the company. Her firm belief that success is derived from hard work, perseverance, learning, studying and a love of what you are doing or learning to do is key.
Scott Jeffers / Director of Multifamily & Director of Operations
Scott leads the operations and the multifamily departments. With over 30 years of experience in various manufacturing markets, he brings a diverse skill set to the leadership team. He studied business administration at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and also holds certificates in both six sigma and lean manufacturing. Scott is a strong leader who has two nonnegotiable requirements of his team members; treat everyone with respect and always look for a better way of doing things.
Rick Martin / Director of Construction
Rick has over 24 years of industry experience and has been with Blenker Companies, Inc. for about 20 years. Rick Martin graduated from Northcentral Technical College with an associate degree in residential design. He started at Blenker Companies, Inc. as a draftsman and structural designer for Blenker Building Systems and then oversaw all manufacturing, shipping/receiving and the transport division for about a 10 year span. Now he oversees the day-to-day operations of Blenker Construction as the forward thinking and driven director.
Mark Robinson / Director of Residential
Mark leads our residential department. Along with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, he brings over 15 years of experience, building a very successful custom home design/build company from the ground up. His knowledge of the industry, his ability to influence people in a positive way, and his willingness to share innovative ideas to enhance the overall productivity are valuable traits Mark brings to our builder partners, enabling him to be an integral part of their team as a trusted adviser.

Justin Breyhan / Multifamily Business Development Manager
Justin has been with Blenker Building Systems since its outside sales conception. He plays a key role in the development of our builder network, working with builders across the Midwest. His success is centered on building relationships as a result of listening to customer’s needs and understanding how he can deliver products and services to match those needs. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. He is a member of the Golden Sands and Wausau Builders Association as well as their affiliates; Wisconsin Builders Association and National Home Builders Association.
Tim Mueller / Residential Business Development Manager
Tim has been in a business development role for over 20 years and has a degree in Marketing from Chippewa Valley Technical College. He started with Blenker Companies, Inc. in November 2014. He specializes in recruiting, training, and assisting residential builders build more efficiently using the Blenker component and our Envision. Home at Last. systems.
Jenna Becker / New Home Specialist & Kitchen Designer
Jenna Becker graduated from Minnesota State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design & Construction Management. She has been working locally as a designer for over 15 years and in that time has developed a strong understanding of our local markets as well as created lasting relationships that allow her to better serve her client’s needs. Jenna is creative, forward thinking and committed to staying current with trending design. Her mission is to create functional and timeless spaces that homeowners can be proud of for years to come. She is a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association as well as the Golden Sands Home Builders Association.
Carly Schwanz / Kitchen Designer
Carly Schwanz has been doing kitchen and bath design since 2015. Her experience with customers and contractors over the years gives her a wealth of knowledge in various CAD software platforms such as 2020 Design, Google Sketchup and Solidworks. These allow her to create lifelike renderings of beautiful and functional spaces, all which serve to better visualize your home or spaces before they’re ever built. Carly is committed to your project from start to finish and excels in customer service. She has been a member of the NKBA since 2018 and is committed to staying current on trends and is always expanding her knowledge. She plans to earn her Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer Certification through the association in the near future.
