Blenker Component Systems offers a wide range of standard plans for you to choose from. We also have a design service that can work with you to design a project that suits your needs, or we can use your plans. Whichever route you choose, the plans are then engineered to exceed all building codes to ensure a quality built structure.

INITIAL BIDDING

After receiving your plans, or working with our design department, you will then be quoted a price based on your specifications. Production begins after the price has been set, a contract signed, and a deposit on the component package has been received. Lead-times for complete packages vary depending on size, but under normal building conditions are approximately 15-30 days out. We coordinate the delivery date to coincide with your building schedule. The component package is then loaded and trucked onto your site. It can then be erected by the builders crew (minimum crew size is four), or can be erected with one of our erection crews. We also have a crane available to assist in erection. Final payment will be due upon delivery of your package.

JOB-SITE REQUIREMENTS

The builder should not have any open trenches in the immediate area, and the foundation should be back filled, as the crane needs to be as close to the building as possible. Once the crane is set up, one of the members of the crew will be hooking up the panels, and the other crewmembers will be setting the panels in sequence (all panels are labeled and correspond to drawings). It is recommended that the crew layout all of the walls on the deck with chalk prior to delivery of the package. Most of the smaller lighter interior walls will be placed on the deck with the crane, but will be erected by the crew after the crane has finished. Truck clearance is a minimum of 13’6 in height and 10’ in width. It is the builder’s responsibility to ensure that there are no obstructions prior to delivery. Some trimming of trees may also be necessary for the crane to be used effectively.

OPTIONS

On smaller projects, such as ranch houses, the entire house can easily be set in one day. However, larger, more complex projects may require two or more days due to their size. Crane time will be billed for hours on the machine (including time for set up). All additional materials can also be added to your package, including roof sheathing, soffit, fascia, and bracing for walls. Be sure to discuss all options and materials needed for your project with the salesman.
